    The Arcadia University Department of Physical Therapy is currently recruiting for a full time, 9-month non-tenure track faculty position. The Department offers an entry level Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, a dual degree with public health (DPT/MPH), post-professional DPT programs, and an Orthopaedic Residency. We are ranked among the top physical therapy programs in the country.


    We invite physical therapists who hold or are pursuing a clinical or academic doctoral degree to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in behavioral sciences, health administration, or neurological rehabilitation. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background and experience teaching or mentoring students in academic, clinical, or pro bono settings. Capable, effective teaching in areas of content expertise is expected and occurs within a highly integrated curriculum. The faculty is committed to working in a collegial environment that values professional service and scholarship. Opportunities for advancing interprofessional education and contributing to collaborative research exist within the Department and University.


    Arcadia's College of Health Sciences (CHS) houses the University's Community and Global Public Health Program, Genetic Counseling, Medical Science (Physician Assistant Studies), and Physical Therapy programs. Through evidence-based practice and project-based learning, these programs prepare healthcare professionals for success in a rapidly changing global environment, with applied and pro bono clinical thesis work, clinical rotations, international fieldwork, and multicultural assessment. Graduates of Arcadia's CHS programs are at the forefront of their respective fields and employed with leading health organizations.


    Arcadia University is located in Glenside, PA, just 25 minutes from Center City Philadelphia on a 60-acre suburban campus. Founded as Beaver College in 1853, Arcadia University is now a comprehensive university serving more than 3,600 men and women. The Department of Physical Therapy has strong and long-standing ties to major medical centers in the Philadelphia area. The program is one of 4 within the College of Health Sciences, which also includes Public Health, Genetic Counseling, and Physician Assistant programs. The Department of Physical Therapy is housed in the Health Science Center, a state-of-the-art facility located next door to the national landmark - Grey Towers Castle.     The curriculum is highly integrative with specific content presented in 3-week modules organized around a case example or focus area.
