Overview

The Department of Psychology at Arcadia University invites applicants for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in Experimental Psychology. The position will begin Fall, 2018. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Psychology or related field (Behavioral/Cognitive Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, etc.). The successful candidate will teach in our research-oriented undergraduate program and develop an active research program that involves undergraduate students. This position involves teaching our required courses in Behavioral Neuroscience and Learning & Cognition as well as other courses in the candidate's area of specialization.

Responsibilities

This position involves teaching our required courses in Behavioral Neuroscience and Learning & Cognition as well as other courses in the candidate's area of specialization. Psychology faculty members are also expected to supervise independent research projects and senior thesis research. Ability to supervise rat research is highly desirable, but the primary area of research is open. Full-time faculty members at Arcadia typically teach a 3-3 load.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Psychology or related field (Behavioral/Cognitive Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, etc.).
