Responsibilities

Job responsibilities include teaching discipline-specific lectures or laboratories, responding to student inquiries, using Blackboard to post lectures and grades and abiding by all relevant university and/or departmental procedures and policies.The number of adjunct instructors hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. While there may not be immediate openings in your area of interest, when there is an opening with which your qualifications match the adjunct hiring manager reviews applications submitted to discipline-specific pools.

Qualifications

Master's degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience required with a terminal degree preferred. Higher education teaching experience preferred as well.
